We have owned and Loved Shelties for over 20 years, and are committed to the betterment of the breed. We fell in love with the Sheltie breed, and we continue to be amazed & amused by their intelligence & loyalty.

We feel honored to share our lives with such gorgeous well bred Shelties as our loving family members.

Starlight Shelties strives for excellence & breeding for Quality in keeping with the AKC Standard. We are devoted to breeding beautiful, healthy, happy, Intelligent Shelties that are a joy to live with & make wonderful family companions.

It brings us great joy and happiness to match the right family home with one of our Shelties, and have enjoyed staying in touch with families throughout the years getting updates. We also enjoy hearing about their Starlight dog's accomplishments in Agility, Obedience, Therapy work & Conformation.

We are Members Of the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Houston & Shetland Sheepdog Club Of Greater Birmingham. We enjoy continuing our education & knowledge of the breed with several Sheltie Mentors who have over 35 yrs experience.

We both have had a Love for animals since childhood, with Rachel involved in Obedience training & therapy work, and Filiberto with Future Farmers of America , showing cattle as a teen & having Grand Champion Steers & Grand Champion Hogs.

We caught the " Show" bug 10 yrs ago. & have enjoyed attaining some goals and accomplishments we had set out to do .

We Show Our Shelties in Conformation, have Best In Specialty Show Winners,finished Champions & pointed Shelties that we are currently Showing, several of which have garnered multiple

Best of Breed Wins.

We health test our dogs for vWd,Hips are OFA'd , Eye CERF test & thyroid.

Shelties are our Love and Passion. Our Shelties are our Beloved family members first, as well as our Show dogs. Our dogs enjoy a Home environment w/lots of Love & attention, Toys & Tunnels to play with. We strive for Excellence, and our goal is to improve the quality of the breed with true Sheltie type and conformation.

Starlight puppies are home raised and well socialized . When puppies are age appropriate, we take them on car rides, to the park, the vet office. We also start them on basic leash and crate training grounded in positive motivation to ensure a happy, healthy puppy.

Starlight Shelties works closely with each family to help understand and achieve your goals, whether it is for a Family companion pet, Show Prospect, Agility/Obedience or therapy dog. We do occassionally have puppies or young adults available to forever homes. We are dedicated to ensuring the best homes possible for our puppies, and only place our puppies/dogs in positive environments where they can thrive. We reserve the right of refusal if we feel the home is not a good environment for one of our puppies.

Companion Pet Puppies are on AKC Limited Reg and Spay/Neuter Contracts.
