We fell in love with the Sheltie breed, and we continue to be amazed by their intelligence & loyalty. We love the beauty & elegance they possess and feel honored to have such gorgeous well bred Shelties as loving family members.

We Strive for Excellence & breed for Quality, Balance, & Beauty and to maintain true sheltie type . We are devoted to breeding beautiful, healthy, happy, Intelligent Shelties in keeping with the AKC Standard .

We are a Members Of the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Houston & Shetland Sheepdog Club Of Greater Birmingham. We have several Sheltie Mentors with over 35 yrs experience & knowledge of the breed that we work with.

We have had a Love for animals since childhood, with Rachel involved in Obedience training & Filiberto with Future Farmers of America , showing cattle as a teen & having Grand Champion Steers.

Like most, we started out having Shelties as beloved family pets, and

caught the "Show " bug over nine years ago.

We Show Our Shelties in Conformation, have finished Champions & pointed Shelties that we are currently Showing, several of which have garnered multiple

Best of Breed Wins.

We health test our dogs for vWd,Hips are OFA'd , Eye CERF test & thyroid.

Shelties are our Love and Passion. Our Shelties are our Beloved family members , as well as our Show dogs. Our dogs enjoy a Home environment w/lots of Love & attention, Toys & Tunnels to play with.  Each litter is well thought out & planned, based on each dog's virtues & studying pedigrees. We strive for Excellence, and our goal is to improve the quality of the breed with true Sheltie type and conformation. We breed for Show, but also have Beautiful Quality family Pet puppies available to approved homes, we welcome inquiries.

Starlight puppies are home raised and well socialized . When puppies are age appropriate, we take them on car rides, to the park, the vet office. We also start them on basic leash and crate training grounded in positive motivation to ensure a happy, healthy puppy.

Starlight Shelties works closely with each family to help understand and achieve your goals, whether it is for a Family pet, Show Prospect or Agility/Obedience dog. Inquiries are welcome, as we do occassionally have puppies or young adults available to forever homes.

We are dedicated to ensuring the best homes possible for our puppies, and only place our puppies/dogs in positive environments where they can thrive. We reserve the right of refusal if we feel the home is not a good environment for one of our puppies.
